I left cold December winds behind as I stepped through the door. I ordered a latte, grabbed a table and let my eyes wander. The bright space was filled with hints of brass, wood and dark blue. Every corner of the café radiates with a love and passion for coffee. Tea and coffee cups are tidily stacked on shelves behind the counter; quotes from Java Republic’s master brewer are engraved on the tables. I spotted the originals of the paintings whose miniatures appear on the tea boxes. The place lived and breathed coffee and tea.
My latte promised me a lazy break: warm, sweet and vibrant. With interesting filter coffees on offer, I was tempted to try them out. Barista Judit happily spilled the beans about their guest beans – we exchanged our fave coffee fixes and I ended up with another coffee to sip.
I left buzzing with caffeination and good memories. I will definitely be back, especially as the guys plan in-store events such as coffee cupping and tastings for coffeeholics like me and you. Plus, on a sunny day it will be a treat to sip a cappuccino soaking up the Georgian allure.
