Located a few steps from the iconic Irish Times is Shoe Lane Coffee. Opened just in 2016, this tiny coffee house off Tara Street pampers punters with great snacks and nice coffee.

Shoe Lane Coffee exudes vintage charm thanks to its unique decor. From floorboards to the main counter, the majority of the space is dressed in wood. Hues of gold, honey and brown overlap with each other, transforming the cafe into a treasure box full of trinkets and curios. Visitors can cast an eye over an old-school tennis racket and cast iron shoe forms scattered around the space. The walls and ceilings are covered in dark blue, which creates a sky-like dome over the seats. Image how beautiful the place looks with fairy lights and garlands on during the Christmas season. A metal fence with potted ivy hangs above an old bench, adding a nice green accent to the whole interior.

The guys serve Full Circle Roasters coffee, perching on the shelves behind the barista station. From espresso-based coffee to filter, there are so many options to satisfy my coffee cravings. If a cup of joe is not your poison, don’t fret. Tea fans can grab a cuppa of Wall and Keogh tea blends, whereas chocoholics should treat themselves to Mortimer Hot Chocolate. Not to mentions the display of bakes and pastries awaiting hungry visitors. All of that makes Shoe Lane Coffee a perfect pit-stop to relax and re-charge before hitting the bustling streets of Dublin.
