The Dublin Cookie Co.

Gracefully wrapped up in a rosy glow, The Dublin Cookie Co. is a confectionery treasure trove. As a really cookie monster, I never miss a chance to indulge my sweet tooth. My visit was bound to happen after having Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookies at the Taste City Fusion last year.

My nose guided me through the door. As soon as I crossed the threshold the air filled with sugar and spice. The shop is a little culinary wonder. With the on-site bakery, you can see co-owners Elaine and Jenny work their magic turning dough into scrumptious gooeyness and chewy perfection. Freshly baked treats were sprinkled across the coffee-stained rustic counter, neatly labelled for hungry munchers to pick and choose. From favourite classics to creative twists, every single cookie offered a mouthful of delicious notes. After stuffing my face, I simply had to get my mandatory cuppa. Beans came from Coffee Culture, distinctive aroma but delicate – perfect to go with my Peanut Butter Whoopie.

The interior is infused with warm woods and soft whites, all soaked up in that Saturday cheerfulness one feels at the granny’s kitchen. Colourful bunting, flowers and old-skool milk crates add even more charm to this cookie shop’s homely ambience.

It is so hard to leave when you have got so many delicious options to crunch on. Plus, flavoured coffee milk… Oh, sweet joy!
