This time I stumbled upon Two Pups Coffee, a charming little spot on Francis St. Sharing space with some amazing people from Vertigo Vintage, Velvet Moon, and Kikis Booteeki, this petite coffee shop mesmerizes with serenity and calm with an interior clad with rustic furniture and enclosed in white. Although tiny, the space is always well-lit, almost basking in the coastal sunshine. Because of that I almost expect to see sea and blue skies every time I step outside. Owner Kevin and his girlfriend Zoe manage to seize the sun and lightness. It is always sunny, homely, and joyful. Simplicity is the key. Splashes of colours from Lucy’s Lounge contrasts nicely with the bright décor of the coffee house. The spirit of that place is seized in detail: copper ceiling lamps, a boho chic coffee table, a farmlife-style dining table and bird-patterned cushions. All of that creates the warm and intimate surroundings to unwind and relax.
Two Pups Coffee treats the caffeine deprived to 3FE, The Barn, and Cloud Picker. Each cup is made with care and love, which shows in taste: pleasantly creamy and well-balanced in flavours. The guys will also take care of your stomach too with their delicious nosh and cakes freshly baked by The Cupcake Bloke and Arun Bakery. My favorite is triple chocolate brownie – simply finger-licking!
For me visiting Two Pups Coffee is like stopping by your good friend’s house. I always leave feeling lighter on my feet, ready to face my Saturday to-do list and make it happen.
