Located in the heart of Dun Laoghaire, Twobeans Speciality Coffee Bar is a coffee-powered haven run by World of Coffee Ambassador 2016 Yvonne and Bobby.

The place vibrates with great energy and colours. Green mixes with white across the cafe, with the nice splash of neon orange, adding a zing to the whole look. Funky posters and vintage grinders pop out here and there, keeping your eyes alert for more hidden curios around the cafe.

As soon as you step inside this café, you can see the chemical symbol of caffeine on the wall. You know the guys mean business. Twobeans is a great drop-by shop for all things coffee: from top-notch gear for your home brewing to delicious coffee beans. I was happy to see a variety of micro-roasters available. The local micro-roastery Silverskin Coffee proudly perches on the shelf in the good company of guest labels including The Barn and La Cabra.

Twobeans treats the caffeine-deprived with delish nosh and sweet treats to keep their strength up. I really enjoyed my flat white. It was light, sweet and a bit chocolatey – a dessert in its own right.

I can’t wait to come back to this Dun Laoghaire café for more coffee goodness.
